FIRE AND EMS PROVIDERS CONTRACTS
CCESD contracts with the aforementioned service providers to furnish “firefighting” services and emergency medical services to the unincorporated area of Cameron County. Each service provider is designated a Fire/and or EMS Zone.
Each contract is reviewed and approved for renewal by the Board at the beginning of the Fiscal Year October 1st. Payments are paid on a quarterly basis. Fire and EMS Call Reports are submitted on a monthly and quarterly basis. Fire run reports are reviewed by the Emergency Services Consultant to determine which calls are valid and to prepare a final count for the purpose of calculating contract rates. The contractual rates are based on a formula which uses the previous year runs or calls from each provider and calculates the cost per run to determine the total contract cost amount for each provider.
