CCESD contracts with the Cameron County Emergency Management Department to evaluate and analyze the monthly Fire and EMS calls submitted by the service providers. The consultant reviews Fire and EMS issues and presents a report of findings to the Board. In addition, the consultant can conduct an inspection of the providers’ equipment, facilities, and personnel. Also, the consultant provides reports and an analysis of data accumulated to the District at regular (quarterly) intervals.
CCESD contracts with the Cameron County Fire Marshal Service to conduct fire investigations, fire inspections, arson investigations, permits (if applicable), fire prevention activities, respond to fire inquires, make referrals to the State Fire Marshal or CCESD providers, and enforce state law, commissioners’ court orders and applicable codes.
